Root Mapping
Non-invasive root mapping to inform construction and tree protection planning.
About Root Mapping
Understanding the location and extent of tree root systems is critical when planning construction, excavation or infrastructure work near trees. Mike provides non-invasive root mapping services to identify the presence and direction of significant structural roots, helping inform tree protection planning and construction methodology.
Root mapping is particularly important for development applications where proposed works encroach within the Tree Protection Zone (TPZ) or Structural Root Zone (SRZ) of trees being retained. Accurate root mapping data can support design modifications that allow both the tree and the development to coexist successfully.
Mike integrates root mapping findings into comprehensive arboricultural reports, providing clear guidance on where construction can and cannot safely proceed, and what tree protection measures are required to prevent root damage during and after construction.
